Policies for Continuing Education Trainings

Fees, Refunds, Cancellations, & General Grievance Policies

We want those who have signed up for a course/training to have the best experience possible. Anyone who has registered and paid for a live training (whether in-person or live-webinar) and cancels their registration for any reason will be given a full refund as long as they notify us at inRelationship of the cancelation no later than 3 business days prior to the delivery of the training.

Anyone who attends a training who is not satisfied with their experience may receive a full refund in lieu of a CE certificate on request. Requests must be received the day of training. All refunds will be issued through the same means that the initial registration was paid (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).

The refund policy for Home-Study/Online courses shall be as above, except when same policies conflict with the refund policies of Teachable. For courses that are non-live/on-demand, Teachable's refund policy of notification within 14-days of initial purchase shall be accepted.

Attendance for Live Webinars & On-Demand Courses

Live events, participants will be recorded be either attendance sheet which participants sign or through a record of participants if through Zoom or other teleconference software. Participants may arrive up to 10 minutes late for a one hour CE event or 15 minutes late for longer events and still receive full CE credit for the event. Partial credit is not offered at this time. iR is not responsible for issues relating to late attendance by participants.

When attending an online-course/webinar (either a live-webinar or evergreen/recorded course or webcast) all attendees agree that they will only complete the post-test for continuing education hours if they have participated in the entirety of the course/webinar/webcast, and that that by completing the post-test they are stating they have completed the clock hours of the course/webinar/webcast and are entitled to the credit then given once the post-test is successfully completed.

It also important for students/attendees of courses/webinars/webcasts to note that many states count online-courses/webinars differently in regards to continuing education. Differences also exist in some states regarding online-courses/webinars if they are done as live-events or as pre-recorded/home-studies. This attendance policy applies to online-courses/webinars and live-events.

Confidentiality of Students/Attendees

The names and contact information of registered students/attendees is maintained by inRelationship for our records and to insure the quality of services delivered. inRelationship works to maintain the confidentiality of these records and does not release information on attendees to third parties, with the exception of approvers of continuing education clock hours where such information is required for the approval of the continuing education clock hours for the specific event. Such organizations may include, but are not limit to, state licensing boards for different psychotherapeutic disciplines that approve continuing education clock hours for mental health professionals in those states.

All future communications from inRelationship will have clear "opt-out" options for past students/attendees who no longer wish to receive emails or other notifications from PsychMaven or any of its component institutes.

Acceptable Behavior & Conduct of Attendees

inRelationship strives to maintain environments that are conducive for positive learning and professional growth. Therefore, inRelationship insists that all students/attendees and instructors, whether they are participating in webinars, courses, or an in-person events, conduct themselves in ways that are respectful for all persons involved. inRelationship has a zero-tolerance policy for participants who conduct themselves in threatening or otherwise disruptive ways. Unacceptable behavior may include, but may not be limited to; participants who are expressly hostile to persons based on their gender, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual identity/orientation, etc.; participants who persistently interrupt, distract, and/or forcefully dominate discussion to the clear detriment of the learning objectives of attendees and instructors; and/or participants who otherwise contribute to feelings of unsafety in the learning environment, for either attendees or instructors. In these circumstances, inRelationship reserves the right to eject any person from an event and/or training. The ejected person will not receive a refund for their attendance and shall not received any partial continuing education credit if such credit is being offered.

inRelationship further reserves the right to ban any persons, either temporarily or permanently, from participating in inRelationship offerings if it is believed that said persons will contribute to the unsafety of others involved in the offering. Accessibility and Accommodation Regarding Ability

We are dedicated to providing training that is consistent with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar state, federal, and local laws.

For in-person and home-study programs, inRelationship uses a multimedia format, incorporating both auditory and visual elements to ensure our content is engaging and accessible. Our courses are designed with many interactive elements. These strategies not only keep our audience engaged but also accommodate different learning styles and challenges.

For our online formatted courses, we strive for a high level of accessibility for participants to engage with our programs from the comfort of their homes or workplaces. This allows those with physical disabilities to participate without the added barriers often associated with physical locations.

When participants with disabilities, such as sensory, auditory or visual impairments, wish to request accommodations for live-stream webcasts or synchronous events, we ask them to submit these requests in writing via email or the Contact form on this website. We will respond to these requests either by email or over the phone. We commit to accommodating these requests wherever possible, within the scope of our resources.

inRelationship takes reasonable steps to provide accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These accommodations may include written transcripts of audio or video components of courses, large-type versions of printed materials, and audio versions of printed materials.

To submit a request for disability accommodations, participants are asked to contact us.

While we strive for maximum accessibility across all our course offerings, we want to communicate to our participants that accommodations may take up to 90 days to provide. This timeline also applies to accommodation requests for live courses. At inRelationship, we are committed to making our programming as inclusive and accessible as possible, ensuring that all participants, regardless of disability, have an equal opportunity to learn and grow.
